Riverside Mfg., LLC celebrates opening of new Fort Wayne facility

Consolidated headquarters positions company for continued growth, innovation and collaboration.

FORT WAYNE, Ind., July 8, 2026 — Riverside Mfg., LLC celebrated the opening of its new Fort Wayne facility today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring company leaders, including CEO Fred Merritt, President Kent Rice and SVP of Sales and Marketing David Rednour, alongside U.S. Sen. Jim Banks, Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita, U.S. Rep. Marlin Stutzman and Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker.

In an effort to support increased demand for both existing and new products, Riverside will invest more than $10 million as the company continues its growth trajectory focused on Advanced Manufacturing. Additionally, since the recent expansion project began in 2025, Riverside has added 30 employees in Indiana, and the company expects to add another 50 team members in the coming year.

The new facility, located at 7310 Innovation Blvd., brings Riverside’s operations together under one roof after previously operating from four separate locations. Formerly located in multiple buildings in Huntertown, the new centralized headquarters is designed to enhance collaboration across teams, improve operational efficiencies and support the company’s continued growth while strengthening its culture and ability to serve customers.

“A strong economy depends on businesses having the freedom and confidence to invest, grow and create jobs,” said Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita. “Riverside’s new facility is a great example of that confidence in action, and it reflects the strength of Indiana’s workforce and business environment. I congratulate the Riverside team on this significant achievement.”

Founded in Michigan in 1947, Riverside has grown into a nationally recognized engineering and manufacturing company specializing in custom products for harsh environments, including printed circuit board assembly, electronics assembly, plastic injection molding, metal fabrication and instrumentation. After relocating to Indiana, the company established its Huntertown headquarters in 2003, growing from a single building into a multi-building campus.

After nearly 80 years in business, the move to Innovation Boulevard marks Riverside’s next chapter as it continues investing in advanced manufacturing, engineering capabilities and long-term growth in Northeast Indiana.
“Today’s ribbon cutting represents an exciting new chapter for Riverside,” said Fred Merritt, CEO of Riverside Mfg., LLC. “Bringing our operations together creates new opportunities for collaboration, strengthens the way we serve our customers, and provides the space we need to continue growing. This facility reflects our commitment to investing in our employees, advancing our manufacturing capabilities and building on nearly 80 years of engineering and manufacturing excellence.”

The new headquarters supports Riverside’s continued growth across a diverse range of industries, including defense, aerospace, industrial automation, medical equipment, marine, telematics and data centers. By housing engineering, manufacturing and customer support teams in one location, the company is better positioned to foster innovation, streamline operations and meet customers’ evolving needs.

“The opening of this facility reflects how far Riverside has come and where we’re headed,” said Kent Rice, President of Riverside Mfg., LLC. “From our beginnings in 1947 to our growth here in Northeast Indiana, we’ve continued to evolve to meet our customers’ needs. This new facility positions us to work more efficiently, strengthen collaboration across our teams and support the next phase of Riverside’s growth.”

Riverside leaders also recognized the employees, customers, suppliers, and community partners who have supported the company’s success throughout its history.

“Our success has always been built on strong relationships,” said David Rednour, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Riverside Mfg., LLC. “We’re grateful to our employees for their dedication, our customers for their trust and our partners for helping us reach this milestone.”

During the ceremony, company leaders were joined by U.S. Sen. Jim Banks, Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita, U.S. Rep. Marlin Stutzman and Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker, who recognized Riverside’s continued investment in Northeast Indiana and the company’s impact on the region’s manufacturing economy.

“Indiana is a national leader in manufacturing and plays a vital role in supporting America’s defense industrial base,” said U.S. Sen. Jim Banks. “Companies like Riverside are helping drive that success through continued investment, innovation and job creation. It’s exciting to see

Riverside continue growing in Northeast Indiana and strengthening both our regional economy and our nation’s industrial capabilities.”

“When companies choose to invest in American manufacturing, they’re investing in our workers, our communities and our future,” said U.S. Rep. Marlin Stutzman. “Riverside’s new facility is another example of the innovation and craftsmanship that define Northeast Indiana, and I’m excited to see what comes next.”

“Today is a celebration of what can happen when a company chooses to grow alongside its community,” said Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker. “Riverside’s investment is creating opportunities for local families, strengthening our economy and adding to the momentum we’re building across Fort Wayne. We’re proud to have Riverside call Fort Wayne home, and we’re excited to celebrate this milestone together.”

Following remarks from company leaders and elected officials, Riverside dedicated the facility with a ribbon cutting, unveiled a portrait honoring former owner Ray Barr for his leadership and lasting contributions, and welcomed guests for guided tours of the new facility
