Job Description

A Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer will project manage, design, and implement both new and existing test and assembly machines and fixtures, considering new and better ways to make production more efficient and automated, while working in collaboration with a Controls Engineer to incorporating the latest technologies and safety standards. They will also work closely with product engineering and production to find the best ways to test and assemble a wide variety of electrical / electronic products that Riverside manufactures.

Education & Qualifications

  • 4+ year degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • 3+ years experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with automated machine design a plus.
  • Experience with AutoDesk Inventor preferred.
  • Experience with 3D printing preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. person: US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Refugee/Asylum Seeker.

Responsibilites & Duties

  • Project management, from start to finish, all mechanical related portions of automated assembly machines and test fixture designs and builds.
  • Participate in product engineering design reviews for assemblies requiring automation and mechanical fixturing.
  • Troubleshoot problems with existing test and assembly equipment and implement or recommend changes.
